#GAED is a state-wide educational Twitter chat that is weekly moderated by Mr. Aaryn Schmuhl, Assistant Superintendent for Learning & Leadership Services in Henry County Schools. The chat starts with an unstructured group discussion that could be about current educational topics or just reflecting on the week. About 15 minutes in, the questions begin. The moderator tweets each question with the #GAED hashtag (questions are sent in Q1, Q2 format). Then participants of the chat answer the question and comment on others (in a A1, A2 format). The chat features educators from all over the nation with strong representation from Henry County.
On June 4, 2015, I was given the opportunity to moderate #GAED. On this chat, we discussed Personalized Learning. We talked about how Personalized Learning works and how it blends with the 4C's. This was my 3rd time moderating the state wide chat. Check out my previous two below.
On May 15, 2015, I moderated #GAED and on this night we discussed the 4C's: Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking & Communication
On October 23, 2014, I moderated #GAED for the first time and we discussed Student Projects and Project Based Learning.
#GAED is moderated each Thursday by Mr. Schmuhl @ 8pm ET.
