One year ago today the first episode of IA Weekly was posted here on the site. Since then, we've covered advances in Personalized Learning, Digital Learning Day, Twitter for Education, Google's top products, and many more tutorials.
Season 1 ended with two very important interviews. In May of 2014, Anthony Interviewed Mr. Schmuhl, Assistant Superintendent for Learning & Leadership Services in Henry County Schools. On our show, he exclusively announced the 6 cohort schools that would launch Edgenuity.
Two weeks later, the season finale aired. Anthony spent the day at one of our area elementary schools who had iPads in the classroom. Ms. Cavin, a 1st Grade teacher, was interviewed and so were some students. The students gave their views on how the technology has transformed their education.
Most recently, Anthony interviewed Ms. Allen, an Impact Academy teacher. During the interview, she discussed exactly what the Georgia Milestone Assessment is, how students and parents can prepare, and what to expect. The episode aired last night and can be viewed here.
Isabella has provided our viewers with some great tutorials over the year with websites such as Kidblog, Weebly, Edgenuity & Twitter. She has interviewed students on their views of Personalized Learning and interviewed IA's very own, Ms. Theodocion, to discuss how technology has advanced over the years.
Over the course of the year, different hosts joined the team and most recently, we welcome Haleigh and Makena as additional co-hosts. We are excited to see what the future has in store for the IA Weekly crew.
